Jumping into Implementation

Today all of the PUC Mexico team is en route to Oaxaca, and we're looking forward to a lot of different things throughout our 3-week implementation trip:

"I am excited to meet the community, learn about their experiences, and build the solar ovens with the help of the community." - Namrata Gupta, Technical Team Manager

"I'm most excited for the opportunity to meet and understand people from a different culture. I hope to be engrossed in their language, food, and history as often as possible. I am excited to put my basic Spanish knowledge to the test and gain confidence in interacting with people far different from myself." - JoAnna Boy, Logistics Manager

"I'm most excited to meet the community members! and eat the food..." - Mason Danna,Technical Communications Manager

"I am most excited to taste all the food! I'm also hoping to learn what everyday life is like in Mexico, since I've never really stayed in another country for a long period of timeI am also super excited to meet the community members!" - Robyn Richmond, Technical Team Manager

"I’m most excited about seeing the whole process at the mesquite flour facility and seeing how our dryers and ovens fit into the process. We’ve spent the whole year focusing on our one part, it’ll be interesting and exciting to see how our part fits into the whole process. And I’m excited about learning more Spanish and about meeting the community members!" - Hannah Moore, Budget & Schedule Manager

"I am most excited about meeting the community members of Suchil and getting to learn more about their community." - Daniella Garcia, External Communications Manager

"I cannot wait to meet the community members and watch these ideas and designs that we've been working on for a year come to life! I'm also excited to taste some really awesome mole and to learn about the rest of Santiago Suchilquitongo more deeply through our resource mapping activity and community interviews" - Rachel Scott, Public Relations Manager

"I'm excited to learn about the strengths of the communities of Oaxaca and Suchil. I want to learn about how they have impacted the world, because I feel like there are many parts of my daily life that are either related to or impacted by these communities." - Christina Liu, Project Manager
